CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – Jasper Memorial Hospital has earned national recognition for its commitment to high-quality patient care, being named a top performer in the 2026 Bernard A. Birnbaum Quality and Accountability category by Vizient Inc. The honor marks the hospital’s second consecutive year receiving the distinction.
“This recognition reflects the high standards our team works hard to uphold every day,” said Cheri Willard, president and chief nursing officer, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – Jasper Memorial Hospital. “We are proud to be recognized among hospitals across the country for our commitment to quality and the care we provide to our community.”
CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – Jasper Memorial Hospital was recognized in the small community hospital cohort, which are based on specific patient volume. The four cohorts are comprised of comprehensive academic medical centers, large specialized complex care medical centers, complex care medical centers and community hospitals.
The distinguished award signifies the hospital excelled in six critical domains of patient care: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness and variation in care.
“This award is a reminder of the important role our hospital plays in the lives of the people we serve,” Willard said. “Our mission guides us to care for every patient with dignity and compassion, and I am grateful to work alongside teams who bring that mission to life each day.”
